Producer Frank Marshall recently bumped into George Lucas at the premiere for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and he made a comment towards Lucas about box office records. Marshall made a quip about Star Wars not beating the opening weekend record set by “Jurassic World” and Lucas responded by saying he would crush him “like a bug.”
You can check out a video below.
But in the end “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” broke the record as it brought in $528 million on the global market opening weekend. “Jurassic World” brought in $525 million during the film’s opening weekend. Still, Frank Marshall is taking the loss like a champ as he congratulated the Star Wars crew via Twitter.
Cheers to J.J., Kathy, the cast and crew, and DIS/LFL marketing teams! #TheForceAwakens @Disney @StarWars @Bad_Robot pic.twitter.com/oa0zwuAb2Q

Don’t worry Frank, you got another shot when the sequel to “Jurassic World” hits the big screen. Just don’t get your hopes up, the force is strong with Star Wars when it comes to numbers at the box office.
