DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” premieres next week and it’s going to put a bit of a different spin on the type of superhero show we’ve all become accustomed to. The show will focus heavily on time travel which opens up a lot of possibilities. This means the team can go anywhere in time, including the Old West.

The Old West is a setting that’s been confirmed for the first season of the show but that’s not all. Producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed to Variety that DC character Jonah Hex will be making an appearance on the first season of the show.

“Ever since we decided that ‘Legends’ would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West. But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply MUST include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.” Marc Guggenheim said.

A casting announcement for the role has yet to be made but since the show is well into production, expect an announcement sooner than later. DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” premieres on the CW on Thursday, January 21st.
