CBS President On A Supergirl/Flash Crossover: ‘Watch And Wait And See What Happens”

A few months ago a rumor hit the Internet about a possible Flash/Supergirl crossover but things have been quiet since then. Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg noted back in December that there wasn’t a plan to make it happen and that he wasn’t even sure if it legally could happen. Well at the Television Critics Association press tour CBS President Glenn Geller was singing a bit of a different tune. When asked about the possibility of a crossover, he didn’t shoot down the idea but also didn’t confirm it.

“I have to be really careful what I say here. Watch and wait and see what happens,” Geller said.

Well that’s better than a no right? The original rumor claimed that a crossover episode could happen in May of this year. It’s worth noting that last weekend executive producer Greg Berlanti mentioned that if it was going to happen, it would have to be figured out soon.

“It would have to be figured out very soon… I would love it, a lot of things would have to go right and people would have to say ‘Yes.’ It would all have to be figured out in the next month or so. As it remains right now we’ve talked internally about how cool it would be, but we haven’t had official conversations. [The CW chief Mark Pedowitz] is supportive.” Berlanti said.

It seems that this idea isn’t dead yet. “Supergirl” airs Mondays on CBS and “The Flash” will be returning to the CW with new episodes on January 19th.
