After months and months of hype, Marvel recently released the first trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War” and it’s safe to say that it was worth the way. The trailer showed characters from all corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye didn’t make an appearance in the trailer.
He’s ok with that though, as he recently told the South China Morning Post that he’s just happy the trailer was finally released.
“I don’t pay attention to that sort of stuff. I was just excited that we got a trailer together and it’s coming out – that is a pretty killer trailer.”
There have been a lot of rumors out there about what may or may not happen with Hawkeye throughout the course of “Infinity War” and “Avengers 4″ and Renner noted that he thinks fans will be very pleased with what happens.
“We’re doing a lot of really wondrous things that I’ve always wanted to do with this character … I think everyone will be very pleased when they find out what happens.”
As for the rumors that Hawkeye will be taking on the Ronin mantle in one of the next two Avengers movies, Renner didn’t confirm one way or another.
“I can’t get into the theories … I know [Ronin] is in the comics, but otherwise I don’t really know anything about that stuff.”
“Avengers: Infinity War” will arrive in theaters on May 4, 2018.
