Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm was a pretty vital part of the first “Jurassic Park” and he was an even more vital character in “The Lost World” because he was literally the main character in the sequel. Goldblum didn’t appear in “Jurassic Park 3” or “Jurassic World” but it has been confirmed that he will be part of “Jurassic World 2.”
THR reports that Jeff Golblum will reprise his role as Ian Malcolm for “Jurassic World 2” which is set to hit theaters next year. Right now there’s no word on how large his role might be.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are both reprising their roles from the first “Jurassic World” which was directed by Colin Trevorrow. The sequel will have director J.A. Bayona at the helm.
It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of Goldblum on the big screen in the months to come, as he also plays Grandmaster in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
Chris Pratt has said the upcoming sequel will be “scarier” and “darker” than the first film, and it looks like we’ll find out what that means when “Jurassic World 2” hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
