“The Flash” recently returned from break, but things aren’t looking too good for Team Flash. Barry Allen is currently in prison after he was framed for the murder of Clifford DeVoe, and without Barry around the rest of the team has been forced to step up.
The most recent episode put Ralph Dibny in the spotlight, but it seems that another member of Team Flash will be getting powers sooner than later.
Some photos showing Iris West in her very own suit have been making the rounds online, and fans have speculated that Mrs. West-Allen could become a speedster soon.
Well, you can put the speculation to rest, because the rumor has been confirmed. EW recently revealed that Iris will become a speedster temporarily.
“Iris West will be suiting up this season! Yes, seriously. While it’s temporary, I hear Iris will indeed suit up as a speedster in a March episode, but additional details as to how are being kept under wraps at the moment.”
With Iris’ powers only being temporary, it will be interesting to see just how this works.
Could this be an Iris from a different Earth? Will Iris take some sort of formula that will temporarily give her powers?
One way or another we’ll be finding out, and with Barry still in jail it seems that we’ll be finding out soon.
