We all know that shared film universes are all the rage right now. After Marvel reinvented the game, everyone’s trying to do it. DC seems like they’re the next likely brand to get the shared film universe concept correct and apparently they have a plan in place. Henry Cavill recently spoke to Mike Ryan of Uproxx while promoting his new film “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” and he spoke a little bit about DC’s big plans.

“There’s a big plan in place at WB for the whole DC franchise. So, all of this stuff ties in. They’re not thinking from movie to movie, they’re thinking from a big tent pole type thing and each story has its own story, which is attached to the major issue. Yeah, there’s a big plan.” Cavill said.

With 10 DC films set to be released over the next 5 years DC and Warner Bros. are looking to make up for lost time. “Man of Steel” created the universe and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will solidify it. After seeing recent trailers for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” things certainly look promising for DC.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” opens in theaters March 26, 2016.
