Over the course of six seasons, many characters have come and gone on “Arrow” but it looks like we’re going to be seeing a familiar face in the near future.

Stephen Amell recently teased that Colin Donnell was on the “Arrow” set and seemed to hint at a flashback sequence involving Tommy Merlyn. Now Colin has confirmed that he will appearing on the show.

Donnell was recently asked about the the photo Stephen posted during an interview with TV Line, he was also asked if he will be returning to the show. He responded by saying, “Yes, he did. And yes, I will be. And that’s pretty much all I can say about it.”

Fans last saw a version of Tommy Merlyn in the “Crisis On Earth-X” crossover last year, but the Earth-1 version of Tommy Merlyn has remained dead since the season 1 finale.

Donnell also talked a little bit about filming scenes for the crossover, and he noted that he only had one day to get them done.

“It was so fun. It’s always a pleasure to be able to go back and see everybody up in Vancouver, and to be a continued part of that show. Doing the Earth-X version of Tommy was a blast. It was fun to be a part of that giant crossover. It was so quick. I literally flew in for just one day, and then I flew out and that was it. It’s always fun to see the response from the fans, and see everybody excited about Tommy popping back up again.”

Which upcoming episode of “Arrow” Tommy Merlyn will be appearing in is unknown at this point, but stay tuned for updates.
