Disney Made A Dying Man’s Wish Come True By Letting Him Watch ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

Daniel Fleetwood is a huge “Star Wars” fan with an unfortunate illness. Daniel has cancer and he was recently told by doctors that he might not live to see the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” next month. Being a huge fan of the franchise Daniel begged Disney to allow him to see the film before he passes and his request went viral all the way up to Mark Hamill himself.

Well the good news is that Daniel’s wife confirmed via Facebook that Disney made Daniel’s wish come true. She posted the following:

“To all our wonderful supporters, friends, family and awesome strangers: Daniels final dream was just granted!!! Today the wonderful Disney and Lucasfilms made his final dream come true, in the amazing typical Disney way, they really do make dreams come true! Daniel just finished watching an unedited version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!! We would like to thank the awesomely talented JJ Abrams for calling us yesterday to tell us Daniel was getting his wish granted! We also would like to thank Lynne, Ben and Anahuac for coming to our home and screening the movie for Daniel. Lastly I want to thank ALL the amazing people who helped make this happen, thank you beyond words!!! May the force be with you all smile emoticon ‪#‎forcefordaniel‬!!!!”

Is someone chopping onions in here? Our eyes are getting watery. In all seriousness though this is a heartwarming story and we wish Daniel and his family nothing but the best. Congrats Daniel Fleetwood, we hope to movie was everything you wanted it to be and more
