With the way Marvel is building toward “Avengers: Infinity War” with Thanos as the villain and Thanos’ involvement in “Guardians of the Galaxy”, most fans just assume that we’ll see the Guardians of the Galaxy team up with The Avengers at some point. According to Chris Pratt, the powers that be at Marvel have yet to discuss that scenario with him.

“That’s speculation. I haven’t heard that, no, no one’s ever discussed it with me.” Pratt told IGN.

He also mentioned that he’s much more interested in defending outer space than he is Earth.

“I’ll do whatever they want me to do – I don’t want to see the Guardians defend Cleveland, Ohio. We’re cosmic man. I want to be in space.” he continued.

Marvel obviously likes to keep their plans as secretive as possible and they often don’t tell their actors about upcoming plans until they have to. Either way it seems like it would make sense for the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers to team up for “The Avengers: Infinity War” but that’s still years away and as of right now nothing is confirmed.

One way or another you can catch Star Lord defending outer space when “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” hits theaters in 2017.
