Chris Evans has been a vital part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2010 and his portrayal of Captain America has been a big hit with fans and critics alike. Evans is suiting up as Cap for the fifth time in “Captain America: Civil War” which will be the third film in the “Captain America” trilogy. He recently spoke to Collider and he expressed a desire to continue playing the character as long as he can, saying that he now feels like he’s scared to walk away from the role.

“There is no re-upping yet. I was just saying in my last interview that it’s so funny thinking about how fast time has moved. We started this in 2010 and six years has gone in a blink of an eye. In the beginning, it was so terrifying and now you’re almost scared to, I’m scared to walk away. I’m scared to not have one of these coming. It’s been wonderful, especially because the movies are so good. When you make good movies, who wants to stop doing that? So, I don’t know. We’ll see.”

Evans went on to say that he’s happy to do whatever Marvel asks of him, even if it means passing on the shield to someone else.

“I know in the comic books that the shield gets passed off. And what you do know, more than anything else in this process, meeting fans, experiencing these junkets and people who love the character, the character is bigger than you and whatever the character needs, whatever Marvel needs for that arc, I’m willing to do. So if that is me passing it off, you pass it off. But if they want to make more, I’m ready.”

After Marvel released the first trailer for “Doctor Strange” some fans were outraged when they got a look at Tilda Swinton in her role as The Ancient One. Angry fans are accusing Marvel of “whitewashing” the character and Marvel issued the following statement as a response to Mashable:

“Marvel has a very strong record of diversity in its casting of films and regularly departs from stereotypes and source material to bring its MCU to life. The Ancient One is a title that is not exclusively held by any one character, but rather a moniker passed down through time, and in this particular film the embodiment is Celtic. We are very proud to have the enormously talented Tilda Swinton portray this unique and complex character alongside our richly diverse cast.”
