Channing Tatum Denies Gambit Will Be Appearing In X-Men: Apocalypse

Channing Tatum recently took part in a Reddit AMA while promoting his movie “Magic Mike XXL” and he talked a little bit about his upcoming role as Gambit. When asked if Gambit would be appearing in “X-Men: Apocalypse” he had the following to say:

“No ma’am, or sir. I definitely will not,” said Channing Tatum.

Tatum has denied that Gambit would be appearing in the film for quite some time now. But the rumor mill suggests otherwise.

When asked about how a Gambit solo film will impact the superhero movie landscape, Tatum seemed pretty thrilled about what it will bring to the table.

“It will be the second standalone character. And i just really think because Gambit is not the most popular or the biggest hero, I think there’s a really unique opportunity. Marvel’s done a lot of great movies that have made a ridiculous amount of money, and it’s always good to figure how to change the form.” Tatum said.

What do you think, is he telling the truth or will we see Gambit in “X-Men: Apocalypse” when it opens in theaters on May 27, 2016?
