Arrowverse Villains Pitched TV Sitcom

The “Arrowverse” is home to some pretty fun villains and three of them got together to form the Legion of Doom in season 2 of DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow.”

Matt Letscher reprised his role as Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash, Neil McDonough returned as Damien Darhk, and John Barrowman rounded out the trilogy as Malcolm Merlyn. At the end of the season eventually the Legends prevailed and defeated the group, but Matt Letscher recently told Discussing Film that he pitched an idea for a Legion of Doom TV sitcom.

“It was a lot of fun,” said Letscher via Comicbook. “I had a great time with those guys. And you can tell they’re having fun, too. It’s definitely one of those sets that was really easy to work on, everybody was such a pro. We pitched – multiple times — we pitched a half-hour sitcom version of the Legion of Doom to the powers that be at CW and nobody’s bitten yet, but I still think there’s a possibility.”

It doesn’t look like the CW has any plans to move forward with the sitcom, which is a shame because it would probably be a lot of fun, but the schedule is pretty packed at the moment.

Damien Darhk and Eobard Thawne have since returned to the “Arrowverse” and even though Malcolm Merlyn met his end in “Arrow” season 5, the showrunners have said they’d be willing to work with Barrowman again and find a way to bring the character back.

So hopefully we haven’t seen the last of the Legion of Doom after all.
