“Spider-Man: Homecoming” was Spidey’s very first standalone adventure in the MCU, and he’ll be returning for the sequel in 2019. According to Omega Underground, the current working title for the “Homecoming” sequel is “Fall of George” and it’s set to begin filming in Atlanta in June of 2018.

Previous Spider-Man films have focused heavily on romantic sub-plots, but “Homecoming” didn’t really follow that path.

The film made it clear that Peter Parker had feelings for Liz Allan, but their relationship never really got off the ground.

A seed was obviously planted for Peter to get close to Zendaya’s character, but it looks like that may be something that happens further down the road.

In the meantime, it looks like Gwen Stacy is heading to the MCU, as a leaked audition tape recently surfaced online showing an actress reading scenes featuring Gwen talking to Peter, and her father George Stacy.

Now yet another audition tape has surfaced online showing an actress named Iris Haller reading the scenes. Check it out below.

Judging from the leaked audition tapes that have surfaced so far, it’s been speculated that Gwen could be introduced as a foreign exchange student that attends the same school as Peter.

The MCU has been known to put new twists on classic characters, so anything is possible at this point.

The sequel to “Spider-Man: Homecoming” will be released on July 5, 2019.
