“X-Men: Apocalypse” is set to hit theaters next week and this time around the team will be fighting to save the world in the ’80s. Some very unique music was released during the ’80s and Fox has released some new photos which combine the X-Men with some of the decade’s coolest album covers.
The album covers play with famous song titles and some of the awesome mashups include “Hungry Like The Beast” which is a play on Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like The Wolf” and “I Wear My Sunglasses At Night” which has been transformed into “Optic Visors At Night” to accommodate Cyclops.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” hits theaters on May 27.
Worshiped as a god since the dawn of civilization, the immortal Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) becomes the first and most powerful mutant. Awakening after thousands of years, he recruits the disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and other mutants to create a new world order. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Professor X (James McAvoy) and Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) lead a team of young X-Men to stop their seemingly invincible nemesis from destroying mankind.
