Tye Sheridan will be making his debut as Cyclops when “X-Men: Apocalypse” hits theaters next month but it doesn’t look like this is going to be a one and done for Sheridan. EW recently did a profile on Sheridan and they noted that he is currently signed on for two more X-Men films. Tye Sheridan’s contract status indicates that Fox already has plans in the works for more X-Men films despite the fact that they have yet to make any official announcement.

There are a lot of rumors going around in regards to what’s next for the X-Men franchise as Bryan Singer has hinted that the Dark Phoenix Saga is going to be getting a do-over. Some of the actors attached to the film seem to be undecided as to whether or not they want to return as well. But it seems that Sheridan is confirmed in any case.

When he spoke with EW Sheridan also revealed that he boarded the X-Men train a little late. He started with “Days of Future Past” and became hooked immediately.

“After I saw it, I just thought, ‘Oh my God. I’ve been missing this the whole time?!’” Sheridan said. “I went back and watched all the previous films, and I quickly became obsessed.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” hits theaters on May 27 and you can check out a new clip below.
