In 2015 Fox released their Fantastic Four reboot and the film tanked at the box office. Not only did it take a huge hit in terms of ticket sales, the film was also panned by critics and fans alike.
Doctor Doom was the main villain of the film and Toby Kebbell had the unlucky task of bringing Doom to life. The movie’s depiction of Doctor Doom was one of the most hated things about “Fantastic Four” and Kebbell made it clear while speaking with HeyUGuys that he has no interest in returning to for a sequel.
“I won’t be in it!” he said of the rumored Fantastic Four sequel, adding: “Truth is, Doom is an incredible bad guy. They just keep trying to force him into the Fantastic Four. They just need to move it out because he smashes up Thor and Iron Man and they get wasted. Doom is a monster, but my Doom was not, so that is that.”
However, Kebbell did admit that he would be interested in playing Doctor Doom once more if Marvel can somehow acquire the rights to the character.
“Yeah, if they lend him out like a footballer. They do with Spider-Man!”
