Marvel Studios has a loaded release schedule, and “Thor: Ragnarok” has some serious hype behind it right now. The film seems to have surprised many fans thanks to the tone of the first trailer, and it’s quickly become one of Marvel’s most anticipated movies.
One of the things fans are looking forward to the most is seeing Thor face off against Hulk. The first trailer featured a hilarious line that was perfectly placed when Thor encounters Hulk just as they’re set to do battle, and Thor yells with excitement then says, “We know each other. He’s a friend from work.”
The line was a big hit and it’s sparked countless memes since the trailer was released. It turns out that the line came from an unexpected source, as the cast and crew had a visitor on the set that day who provided the inspiration.
Chris Hemsworth recently spoke to EW about the film, and he revealed that it was a young kid who suggested the line, and they went with it.
“We had a young kid, a Make-A-Wish kid on set that day,” Hemsworth told her. “He goes, ‘You know, you should say, “He’s a friend from work!”‘”
Sounds like the kid made a pretty solid suggestion as the “friend from work” line is arguably the most quotable line from a movie so far in 2017.
We’ll see what else “Thor: Ragnarok” has in store for us when the movie is released on November 3, 2017.
“Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.”
