“Avengers: Infinity War” is Marvel’s next big event film, and their latest event film “Captain America: Civil War” featured the debut of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. It’s been rumored for quite some time now that “Infinity War” will have a massive cast, and although most fans assumed Spider-Man would be a part of that cast, Tom Holland recently said that he was unsure of his status for the film.

Well fear not Spider-Man fans, because Tom Holland has now confirmed that he will be a part of the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Tom Holland recently spoke to Vogue Italia, and the @TomHollandItaly Twitter account translated a print copy of the interview. According to the translation, Holland talks about Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans pushing for him to be Spider-Man and he confirms that Spidey will be a part of the film.

“It is they (Downey and Evans) who convinced Marvel. The producers wanted to be sure that I was the right person before you entrust three films over the next four years, including ‘Avengers: Infinity War'”

You can see a screenshot of the untranslated interview below.

In this interview for Vogue, Tom confirm his participation in the "Avenger Infinity War" pic.twitter.com/bY24dwYDWX

After a few rough years on the big screen it looks like Spider-Man’s future on film is very bright. This summer he will swing into action in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and a sequel has already been confirmed. When you throw “Infinity War” into the mix it looks like we’re going to be seeing a lot of Spider-Man over the next few years.

Spider-Man is now a part of the MCU, and his first MCU standalone film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is set to be released in 2017. Fans are thrilled that Spidey now exists in a world that he can share with characters such as Iron Man and Captain America, but unfortunately for Andrew Garfield Spider-Man’s integration into the MCU came at the expense of his career as Spider-Man.

Despite the fact that Andrew Garfield was relieved of his friendly neighborhood Spider-Man duties, he’s been very supportive of Tom Holland taking over the role. The first official trailer for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” was recently released, and Garfield made it clear that he’s excited for the film.

“I watched it, it’s great. I think it looks great, I’m really excited to see it,” Garfield told ET. “I’m just a big fan of Tom and that character, so I just can’t wait to see it.”

You can check out the short clip below.

Andrew Garfield has had nothing but good things to say about Tom Holland, but unfortunately for him his run as Spider-Man didn’t exactly go as well as he had hoped. During a recent interview with Variety he noted that “The Amazing Spider-Man” films taught him that story and characters aren’t always at the “top of the priority list.”

“I signed up to serve the story, and to serve this incredible character that I’ve been dressing as since I was three, and then it gets compromised and it breaks your heart,” Garfield said. “I got heartbroken a little bit to a certain degree.”

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.

Luckily there is more footage on the way, as Marvel also announced that a full trailer is set to air on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow.

So far Marvel has done a great job at keeping everything under wraps in regards to “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” A few photos from the set have leaked, but they’ve mostly just been of Tom Holland, and there’s still a lot of mystery surrounding some of the characters in the film.

As far as villains go, Spider-Man will be going up against the Vulture, who will be played by Michael Keaton, and it’s also been confirmed that the Tinkerer and Shocker will be a part of the film.

As you saw in the teaser, Jon Favreau will be reprising his role as Happy Hogan, and he’s said that Happy will be helping Peter out in the film. Robert Downey Jr. is also confirmed to appear as Tony Stark.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” swings into theaters July 7, 2017.

Hype is at an all time high for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” but unfortunately the film won’t be hitting theaters until next summer.

So far we’ve seen quite a few pictures of Tom Holland from the set, both in and out of costume. We’ve even seen a few photos of Shocker as well. But one character we haven’t seen much of is the Vulture.

A few months ago some concept art was released showing the first look at the Vulture, but since then things have been quiet. Now a new photo has surfaced online via Reddit, and the photo shows what could be an early design for the Vulture’s costume, or possibly concept art for an action figure.

Check it out below.

View post on imgur.com

The photo seems to match up with the concept art that was released earlier this year. If you look below you can see that the claws on the feet are very similar, and the masks seem to resemble each other as well.

How do you feel about what we’ve seen of the Vulture so far? Do you like his look? Sound off in the comments below.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., and more. The film is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is directed by Jon Watts, and the director recently shared a video from the set. The video shows Tom Holland just kind of taking it easy in front of a green screen, while shadows flash on the wall behind.

The video clip isn’t exactly Spider-Man going on on one with The Vulture, but it’s better than nothing.

Check it out below.

Yesterday The Wrap reported that the name Michelle is really just a cover up, and Zendaya is playing none other than Mary Jane in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Most fans seem to be supportive of the casting, but there were some fans who lashed out over the fact that Mary Jane won’t be played by a white redhead.

The report has yet to be confirmed by Marvel or Sony, but “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn spoke out about the reaction to the news on Facebook, and he tried to put things into perspective for fans. He noted that he can’t confirm that the report is true, but he also seems to support the idea of Zendaya taking on the role.

“For me, if a character’s primary attribute – the thing that makes them iconic – is the color of their skin, or their hair color, frankly, that character is shallow and sucks. For me, what makes MJ MJ is her alpha female playfulness, and if the actress captures that, then she’ll work. And, for the record, I think Zendaya even matches what I think of as MJ’s primary physical characteristics – she’s a tall, thin model – much more so than actresses have in the past.”

James Gunn then talked about how keeping an open mind is perhaps the best approach fans can take moving forward.

“Whatever the case, if we’re going to continue to make movies based on the almost all white heroes and supporting characters from the comics of the last century, we’re going to have to get used to them being more reflective of our diverse present world. Perhaps we can be open to the idea that, although someone may not initially match how we personally conceive a character, we can be – and often are – happily surprised.”

How do you feel about the possibility of Zendaya playing Mary Jane? Sound off in the comments below.

Marvel has been tight lipped when it comes to which Spider-Man characters we’ll be seeing in “Homecoming” next year. But a new leaked cast sheet has hit the internet via Reddit, and the sheet gives some insight into who the cast is actually playing.

The cast sheet confirms that Bokeem Woodbine will indeed be playing Herman Schultz better known as the Shocker. Angourie Rice will be playing Betty Brant, who was last portrayed on screen by Elizabeth Banks in Sami Raimi’s Spider-Man films.

Jacob Batalon is listed as Ned Leeds, a character who in the comics married Betty Brant, and also took up the mantle of Hobgoblin. The call sheet also confirms Laura Harrier as Liz Allan.

The call sheet also lists what appear to be members of the faculty for Peter Parker’s high school. Hannibal Buress is listed as Coach Wilson, Martin Starr as Mr. Harrington, and Selenis Leveya is listed as Ms. Warren. We’ll have to wait and see if there’s a Miles Warren connection on that last one.

Kenneth Choi is also listed as Principal Morita, which means he’ll likely be a relative of another Marvel character he also played, Jim Morita in “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

It was reported yesterday via The Wrap that Zendaya is actually playing Mary Jane in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” but this cast sheet has her listed as simply Michelle, so make of that what you will.

You can check out a photo of the cast sheet below.

Spider-Man is definitely all the rage right now thanks to Tom Holland’s stellar performance in “Captain America: Civil War” and some rumors about who might be playing who in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting the next Spider-Man film, which is set to hit theaters next year, and there’s little doubt that the movie will be worth the wait.

Over the years Spider-Man has fought quite a few of his iconic foes on the big screen, and in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” Spidey will be taking on the Vulture, played by Michael Keaton, for the first time on film.

Spider-Man vs. the Vulture is a highly anticipated on screen battle, but it’s probably going to be a while before we see any footage of the two characters fighting. In the meantime, let’s look back at Spider-Man’s 5 best big screen battles so far.

#5) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – Green Goblin

We didn’t see much of Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” but he did show up near the end to deliver a crushing blow to Peter Parker.

After noticing Spider-Man with Gwen Stacy, Harry puts two and two together and comes to the conclusion that Spidey is Peter Parker. He then wastes no time grabbing Gwen Stacy and taking to the skies. Harry drops Gwen over a clock tower where she is saved by Peter before Green Goblin and Spidey do battle.

The battle is short and sweet, but the tension and drama are high. “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” may be arguably the most hated Spider-Man film yet, but the ending of this battle has a lasting emotional impact that will stick with you long after the scene is over.

#4) The Amazing Spider-Man – The Lizard

The Lizard might have looked like a CGI mess in “The Amazing Spider-Man” but the sequence where he faces off with Spider-Man at Midtown High definitely deserves a place on this list.

This sequence was fun and action packed, and it also featured one of Stan Lee’s best cameos. Spidey tried his best to keep the Lizard under control as he ripped Midtown High to shreds, but the Lizard proved to be a formidable foe for Spider-Man.

The scene works because Spider-Man and the Lizard both move like animals and it seems like the Lizard has an answer for every single one of Spidey’s moves.

#3) Spider-Man – Green Goblin

This might not be the flashiest fight out of all of Spider-Man’s on screen battles, but it’s certainly the most emotional.

After saving Mary Jane and a cable-car full of people, Spider-Man is carried away by the Green Goblin to an abandoned building nearby. Thinks pick up right away for Spidey as he hits the ground with a thud and then takes a pumpkin bomb to the face.

The Green Goblin then proceeds to pummel Spider-Man, but when it seems that all hope is lost, Spidey fights back and gets the upper hand.

Norman Osborn then reveals his identity to Peter, stopping him dead in his tracks before attempting to kill him with his remote controlled glider. Then at the last second Spidey moves out of the way and Green Goblin is killed by his own glider in an amazing call back to ASM #122.

#2) Captain America: Civil War – Airport Battle

The airport battle scene in “Captain America: Civil War” was the first time we saw Tom Holland in costume, and it was the first time we got to see his Spider-Man in action. Tom Holland definitely got lucky with this one, because he was involved in one epic clash during his first on screen battle as Spider-Man.

It could be argued that this is the best battle scene out of any MCU film so far. This fight scene seemed impossible to pull off due to all of the characters involved, but it flows very nicely and everyone gets their time to shine.

Spider-Man is no exception, and this scene offered a nice glimpse of what we can expect from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Luckily the glimpse was more than enough to sell fans on Holland.

You just can’t argue with the fact that Sam Raimi did an excellent job with this scene. It’s one of the most exciting scenes in any of the Spider-Man movies so far, and dare I say it, any comic book movie so far.

Before the age of the MCU, the DCEU, and everything in between, “Spider-Man 2” was highly regarded as one of the best superhero movies of all time. Many still hold it in that same regard today and this scene is one of the things that helped propel the film to greatness.

A speeding train proved to be the perfect backdrop for this brawl between Spider-Man an Doc Ock and it really helped to establish Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock as a dangerous villain.

As this scene escalates the deck just gets continuously stacked against Spider-Man, and no matter how many times he saves the day, Doc Ock is right there to knock him back down.

It’s not entirely unlikely that this scene will be topped in a future Spider-Man film someday, but as of now it has yet to be outdone.
