Jackman has been playing the character for quite some time now, but he’s remained adamant that this time will be his last, despite the fact that Ryan Reynolds clearly does not want him to retire.

]]> “Logan” is set to hit theaters in March, and according to Hugh Jackman it will be the last time he plays Wolverine in a film. Over the past few months Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold have given fans plenty to talk about, as they’ve released several photos from the film that hint at what’s to come. Now Hugh Jackman has revealed the official synopsis for “Logan,” which can be viewed below.

“In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”

As the synopsis notes, Logan will be taking care of Professor X, but Xavier and Wolverine’s world will be turned upside down when they run into a young Laura Kinney, better known to X-Men fans as X-23.

X-23’s arrival in “Logan” will mark the first time the character has appeared on the big screen, and Jackman recently shared a photo from the film showing Logan and X-23 taking a little ride.

You can enjoy Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine one last time when “Logan” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.

]]> A few months ago the first trailer for “Logan” was released and it created a lot of hype for the film. “Logan” is set to be Hugh Jackman’s swan song as he says goodbye to the role of Wolverine and so far people who have seen footage from the film have had nothing but high praise for the movie.

“Logan” is rated-R and it doesn’t look like a film that’s going to shy away from violence at all. The movie is set in the year 2024 and judging from the first trailer, the future doesn’t look so bright. Wolverine will be looking after an unhealthy Professor X and the duo will also be taking X-23 under their wing.

Hugh Jackman has shared a new photo from “Logan” and it shows the title character on the run. Jackman posted the photo on Twitter along with the caption “fight or flight,” but if we had to guess we’ll say that Logan is most likely running toward a fight as opposed to away from one.

]]> Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman certainly aren’t strangers, and Reynolds hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that he wants to be part of a Deadpool – Wolverine movie. However, it doesn’t look likely right now because Hugh Jackman has publicly announced that he will be retiring from the role of Wolverine after “Logan” is released in March. But that hasn’t stopped Ryan Reynolds from hoping that it will happen.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman recently spoke to Variety, and during the interview Reynolds noted that “he envisions a standalone movie with Deadpool and Wolverine,” although he’s not sure if Hugh has any interest.

“I would love to play Deadpool for as long as they would let me play Deadpool. We have outlines and stories for a number of different films,” Reynolds revealed. “I have no 
idea if I can change his mind. It’s the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”

Hugh Jackman has made a big deal about his plans to retire after “Logan,” but when asked about potentially returning for a movie with Deadpool, he noted that he’s hesitant, but he didn’t flat out shoot the idea down.

“I’m hesitating,” said Jackman, “because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit. But the timing may 
be wrong.”

It remains to be seen if Reynolds and the internet can convince Hugh Jackman to return, but one way or another we still have “Logan” to look forward to. Ryan Reynolds confessed that he has seen parts of the film, and he says that it’s nothing short of amazing.

“I know first hand that it’s amazing,” he adds. “I’ve seen some of it. It’s mind-blowing.”

“Logan” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.

“Logan” will also introduce X-23, a young girl with powers similar to Wolverine. Fox has released a new banner promoting the film, and it shows Logan carrying X-23 as he’s running. Check it out below.

The trailer made it clear that this is going to be a dark movie, and it looks like we’ll be seeing plenty of teasers in the months ahead. ]]> Hugh Jackman is hanging up the claws next year when the third Wolverine movie hits theaters in March. He’s announced that he will be retiring from the role after this film which is heavily rumored to be influenced by the “Old Man Logan” story. Surely Hugh Jackman and the writers have some surprises in mind for the film. Could one of those surprises be Sabretooth?

Last night at the Oscars, MTV’s Josh Horowitz caught up with Liev Schreiber and asked him if we’ll be seeing him reprise his role as Victor Creed in the movie. Schreiber was quiet when it came to the details, but he did confirm that he’s talked to Hugh Jackman about stepping back into the role.

“We talked about it. I don’t know. He’s mentioned it to me. The Old Man Logan story — that’s appealing. That’s something that I can do. Old, being the operative word.” Schreiber said.

Schreiber only made one appearance as the character in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” The film wasn’t exactly a movie that was loved by the fans but almost everyone agrees Schreiber gave one hell of a performance as Sabretooth. Hugh Jackman’s run as Wolverine is ending so it would be nice to see Sabretooth get a proper send off as well.

Here’s to hoping that we get to see Jackman and Schreiber duke it out as Wolverine and Sabretooth one more time. “Wolverine 3” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
