Cable has been confirmed for the film, Domino has been confirmed for the film, and both Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead have also been confirmed for the sequel. Now yet another character has been confirmed for the movie as Blackfilm.com is reporting that Leslie Uggams will be reprising her role as Blind Al.

Blind Al was Deadpool’s roommate in the first film and she was without a doubt one of the funniest characters in the movie. Ryan Reynolds and Leslie Uggams obviously have great chemistry together, so it will be fun to see them interact once again in “Deadpool 2.”

Production on the film is expected to start sometime over the next few months, and although no official release date has been announced for “Deadpool 2” the film is expected to arrive in theaters next year.

It’s likely that the prosthetic mold will be used to create the scar on Cable’s face, but either way, it’s a good thing Josh Brolin is a patient man, because this looks like it was a rough process.

“Deadpool” did a great job at doing its own thing while still existed within the X-Men universe, and it was refreshing to see a film like “Deadpool” work without the constraints of continuity. “Deadpool 2” writer Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, and they acknowledged that Deadpool will continue to break the rules in the sequel.

“What’s nice is Deadpool exists in his own universe. He’s part of the larger X-Men universe, but in a way he isn’t. He interacts with that world but he is in the present. We don’t deal with the ’60s or the ’70s or the future. It’s here and now. More than anything, I think he’s going to have his fun with what they do in the other franchise. But fortunately, we don’t have to play by those same rules. Deadpool is a movie that did break all the rules. And I think we’re going to continue to break those rules. That involves knowing that he’s in a movie, talking to the audience, breaking that fourth wall, a characteristic that they established so brilliantly in the comics way back when. So yeah, I do think that timelines are something that we can make fun of and don’t have to be slave to.”

“Deadpool” was a huge success and the film has received almost universal praise since it was released. Ryan Reynolds had high hopes that the film would be nominated for an Oscar this year, but sadly it was not meant to be.

Following the Oscar snub, Reynolds recently took to Twitter to congratulate all the films that did get nominated.

Cable and Domino have already been confirmed for the film, and it’s been rumored for a while now that FOX has plans to put together a X-Force film. Well, during an interview with Collider, writer Rhett Reese confirmed that we’ll be seeing a glimpse of what’s to come in “Deadpool 2.”

“There is a responsibility we have to the X-Force universe, and I do think we will not disappoint the fans going into Deadpool 2 and then setting up X-Force and beyond.”

Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick made it a point to stress that “Deadpool 2” will still very much be a Deadpool, and its sole purpose won’t be to just set up X-Force. However, they also noted that they want to plant seeds without overstuffing the movie.

“We never want to let the tail wag the dog,” Paul Wernick added. “We want to tell the best Deadpool story we can. But I do think we have a responsibility to think about a larger universe in the way that Marvel does and start to put pieces in place.”

“Deadpool 2” is expected to be released in 2018.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman recently spoke to Variety, and during the interview Reynolds noted that “he envisions a standalone movie with Deadpool and Wolverine,” although he’s not sure if Hugh has any interest.

“I would love to play Deadpool for as long as they would let me play Deadpool. We have outlines and stories for a number of different films,” Reynolds revealed. “I have no 
idea if I can change his mind. It’s the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”

Hugh Jackman has made a big deal about his plans to retire after “Logan,” but when asked about potentially returning for a movie with Deadpool, he noted that he’s hesitant, but he didn’t flat out shoot the idea down.

“I’m hesitating,” said Jackman, “because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit. But the timing may 
be wrong.”

It remains to be seen if Reynolds and the internet can convince Hugh Jackman to return, but one way or another we still have “Logan” to look forward to. Ryan Reynolds confessed that he has seen parts of the film, and he says that it’s nothing short of amazing.

“I know first hand that it’s amazing,” he adds. “I’ve seen some of it. It’s mind-blowing.”

“Logan” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.

Although it would be cool to see Deadpool make some sort of appearance in “Logan,”
everyone involved is adamantly denying that Deadpool is in the film, which is unfortunate news for Deadpool fans. But the reporter who broke the story seems to be standing by his scoop, so we’ll just have to wait and see exactly how this unfolds.

Either way we still get to see Hugh Jackman light up the big screen as Wolverine one more time, and if the trailer is any indication, the movie will be one to remember.

It should be interesting to see what the scene entails and if there will even be any interaction between Wolverine and Deadpool. Fox clearly has big plans for Deadpool in the future, so it’s always possible that the scene could be used to tease his next movie, which is expected to be released in 2018.

Hugh Jackman has declared that he’s hanging up the claws after “Logan” and that he won’t be returning to the role. Ryan Reynolds on the other hand still has dreams of making a Deadpool/Wolverine film and he joked during a recent interview that he might need some help from the internet when it comes to convincing Hugh to do it.

Luckily for Deadpool he was able to find redemption with his own standalone film earlier this year, but unfortunately the same can’t be said for Venom. It’s been rumored for quite a while that Sony has plans to make a Venom spinoff movie, but as of right now no official announcements have been made.

It remains to be seen when we’ll see Venom on the big screen again, but we know we’ll be seeing Deadpool when “Deadpool 2” comes out. Without a doubt there are many fans out there who would love to see these two face off in the same film, but unfortunately due to legal issues, we probably won’t be seeing that anytime soon.

Luckily the fine folks at Funko have put together a nice animated video which features Venom battling it out with Deadpool.

Deadpool is just trying to do his thing as he drives his chimichanga around town, but his peaceful little adventure comes to a screeching halt when he encounters an enraged Venom. Check it out below.

Unfortunately it looks unlikely to happen, as Hugh Jackman has already declared that “Logan” will be his last run as Wolverine. However, that hasn’t stopped Ryan Reynolds from hoping that he can talk Jackman into playing Wolverine one more time.

“I want Deapdool and Wolverine in a movie together,” Reynolds told EW. “What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I’m going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.”

If you follow Ryan Reynolds on social media, then you’re probably well aware that he’s quite fond of Hugh Jackman. He also told EW that he’s not just interested in doing the movie because he wants the characters together on the big screen, he also just wants to do it because he genuinely loves Hugh Jackman.

“Deadpool 2” is currently in development, and FOX is already planning for “Deadpool 3” which will reportedly include X-Force.

A New Mutants movie is in development, and it’s also been rumored that FOX is looking to reboot their main X-Men franchise somehow. As for how Wolverine fits into those plans, and/or who might be playing the character after Hugh Jackman retires, that remains to be seen.

Shortly after Tim Miller parted ways with the film, rumors immediately began circulating claiming that David Leitch was the favorite to direct. Other names such as Rupert Sanders, Drew Goddard and Magnus Martens were also reportedly on the short list.

Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds had creative differences because Reynolds reportedly wants to keep the film simple, much like the first movie. However, it was reported that Miller wanted to go bigger with the sequel, and make it something similar to modern super hero blockbusters. It’s already been confirmed that Cable will be a part of the sequel, and the two apparently clashed over who should be cast to play the character.

Fox has big plans for the character thanks to the fact that “Deadpool” obliterated the box office earlier this year. The sequel has yet to go into production, but Fox is already planning for “Deadpool 3.”
