After “Arrow” season 2 fans thought they would never see another big bad that would equal, or possibly even surpass Deathstroke, but following season 5 some fans feel that Prometheus is the ultimate villain of the series so far. In the season 5 finale, Adrian Chase took his own life, but it looks like we haven’t seen the last of Prometheus.

This year’s “Arrowverse” crossover will be titled “Crisis On Earth-X” and Entertainment Weekly reports that Prometheus will be returning for the crossover, but he won’t be the Prometheus we know. Instead the character will be the Prometheus from Earth-X known as Prometheus-X.
It’s being reported that there are no plans for Josh Segarra to reprise his role as Prometheus, so the identity of the person under the mask remains a mystery for now. EW is speculating that Prometheus-X could possibly by Earth-X’s Quentin Lance since the show teased Quentin as the villain in season 5, or Roy Harper because Colton Haynes has confirmed he’ll be returning at some point.
Either way we’ll find out when the crossover kicks off on November 27.
