In “Arrow” season 5, Oliver Queen got a little too close to Susan Williams as she tried to uncover the truth about his connection to the Green Arrow. Eventually she figured it out, but after the Green Arrow saved her life, she decided to keep Oliver’s secret under wraps.

Now a new character will be coming after Oliver Queen in season 6, as it was recently reported that “GLOW” actress Sydelle Noel has joined the show as a character named Samandra Watson who is being described a FBI agent who will stop at nothing until the Green Arrow’s secrets are revealed.

People in authority positions going after the Green Arrow is nothing new for the series, but co-showrunner Wendy Mericle recently told TV Line that things will be different this time around.

“Oliver is going to be in some hot water, in a way we haven’t seen before, and Samandra Watson is going to be spearheading that cause,” says co-showrunner Wendy Mericle. “She’s going to get very close to the truth about what Oliver has been up to.”

As we saw in “Arrow” season 5, as the mayor of Star City Oliver Queen publicly condemned the Green Arrow and he went without the suit for several episodes. It should be interesting to see what position the mayor takes on the Green Arrow’s return in the new season.

“Arrow” will return on Thursday, October 12.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice.

As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.
