The Fast and the Furious franchise shows no signs of slowing down, as this year “Fate of the Furious” hit theaters and it was another box office smash for the movie series. “Fate of the Furious” is not available on digital, and one of the franchise’s biggest stars recently took to social media to comment on the release.
Michelle Rodriguez posted a message on Instagram, but it wasn’t quite what fans were expecting. Rodriguez noted that she hopes they decide to focus more on the women next time around, or else she might have to say goodbye to the franchise. She posted the following:
“F8 is out digitally today, I hope they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one. Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise. It’s been a good ride & Im grateful for the opportunity the fans & studio have provided over the years… One Love”
The men have always outnumbered the women in the franchise, but with the next installment set for release on April 19, 2019, it will be interesting to see if the producers take Michelle’s message to heart, and if they don’t it will be even more interesting to see if she actually does say goodbye.
