Michael Fassbender has done an excellent job at bringing Magneto to life on the big screen but it looks like his time playing the character could come to an end after “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Fassbender recently told Variety that it’s the last film on his contract.
“I will shoot a hundred of them, the contract is in three film deals, and this is the last of that. But I’ll be curious to see what happens next.” Fassbender said.
Although Jennifer Lawrence who plays Mystique has made it clear that she’s exiting the franchise after this film, Fassbender has stated in previous interviews that he’s open to discussions about continuing the role. “X-Men: Apocalypse” is supposed to wrap up the trilogy that started with “X-Men: First Class” so it will be interesting to see where FOX takes the franchise from there.
