The Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown immensely over the last few years, and now there are quite a few TV shows tied to the MCU.
But as far as the TV side of things goes, it all start with “Agents of SHIELD” which is currently on its fifth season, and fans have been wondering if the show will end up getting picked up for season six.
According to a new rumor from MovieTVTechGeeks, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
The report claims that three different sources from Marvel, Disney and the production crew for the show have all confirmed that the show will be returning for a new season in the fall.
“Disney doesn’t want to lose another Avengers connection on network television,” a source from ABC reportedly said. “With the upcoming season 5 finale coming in May, expect a season 6 announcement which should give diehard fans some good news.”
Last year the show was seemingly on the fence for renewal as well, but ultimately it was picked up for another season.
If this rumor is indeed true, then it’s good news for fans who want to see Coulson and friends continue their adventures on the small screen.
