Major Flash Villain Returns In Arrowverse Crossover

Monday night the long awaited “Arrowverse” crossover kicked off with “Supergirl” and “Arrow” and things got real pretty quick.

“Supergirl” was mostly based around the West-Allen wedding, but Barry and Iris didn’t get their happy ending, because Nazis invaded when they were up at the altar. The heroes then went to work tracking down their evil doppelgangers and battling Nazis from Earth-X.

At one point Oliver, Kara and Barry all came face to face with their doppelgangers from Earth-X, and when Dark Flash took off his mask he had the face of Harrison Wells, but it wasn’t Harrison Wells.

Dark Flash explained that he’s actually Eobard Thawne, and not Eobard Thawne from Earth-X, Eobard Thawne from Earth-1. In regards to why he inhabited the body of Harrison Wells once again, he said that he wanted to put on a face Barry would be familiar with.

That’s right, despite the fact that he was erased from the timeline in “The Flash” season 1, and DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” season 2, Eobard Thawne from Earth-1 somehow found a way to return.

When Barry asked him how he’s still alive, he simply responded by saying, “time travel is confusing.”

Later in the episode Barry sulked in the time room, and he told Iris that he’s not sure that they will ever be able to truly get rid of Thawne.

The crossover continues tonight with “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”
