For months now it’s been rumored that Jessica Chastain would be joining the cast of “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” and now the actress has confirmed her involvement with a playful Instagram post. Chastain took to Twitter to tease James McAvoy who plays Professor X in the film, and she let him know that she’s heading to Montreal where the movie is currently filming.

The rumor going around is that Chastain will be playing Lilandra of the Shi’ar Empire. Although Chastain confirmed her involvement with the film, she has yet to confirm who exactly she is playing.
“X-Men: Dark Phoenix” will focus on Jean Grey and the iconic “Dark Phoenix” storyline. The franchise previously attempted a loose adaptation o the story arc in “X-Men: The Last Stand” and now Fox is going for it again.
Hopefully the second time’s a charm.
“X-Men: Dark Phoenix” will open in theaters on November 2, 2018.
