“Furious 7” is a juggernaut that just can’t be stopped. It broke box office records when it was released in theaters, and now the film is breaking home entertainment records as well. The blockbuster movie was released on Blu-Ray, DVD and digital last week and it’s already sold 2.5 million copies to the tune of $52.5 million dollars. It’s safe to say that as far as home entertainment sales go, the sky is the limit for Furious 7.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment President Eddie Cunningham commented on the film’s success.
“Furious 7 shattered records around the world at the box office and continues to reach incredible heights in home entertainment, an extraordinary achievement for the seventh installment of any franchise. Such astonishing results in both theatrical and home entertainment are a true testament to the enduring appeal of The Fast and the Furious films and underscore the strong demand amongst both physical and digital consumers to have instant access to one of the year’s greatest must-own movies.” He said.
Congratulations to everyone involved with “Furious 7.”
