DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” has been a wild ride so far, and the show recently returned this week for the midseason premiere. Season 3 has been working with more of a horror/occult theme, and that theme ties directly to this season’s big bad, Mallus.
So far Mallus has mostly been a whisper, a name that people hear, but not a villain that people see.
He’s been working in the shadows through the whole first half of the season, and executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently told EW that fans won’t actually see him until the show moves closer to the end of the season.
“You won’t see him in the flesh immediately. We’re saving it toward the end of the year. He will be a fully CG character. The design of him is really cool. We’re really pushing the envelope in terms of what we can do with the visual effects on the show.”
It sounds like fans will have to wait a little longer to meet Mallus, but it also sounds like it will be worth the wait.
DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” will return on Monday with “Here I Go Again.”
