The Marvel Cinematic Universe was established in 2008, and since then it’s been going strong. Many heroes have starred in their own standalone films, and a few ensemble films such as “The Avengers” and “Captain America: Civil War” have also been released. On the DC side, the movies seem to be getting released to mixed reviews, but the DC television shows seem to be getting a positive response from critics and fans alike.
One of the biggest highlights of the fall TV season was seeing “The Flash” adapt the iconic “Flashpoint” storyline for television. The storyline didn’t last long, but it make some big changes to the “Arrowverse.” For those that don’t know, “Flashpoint” is a storyline where Barry Allen goes back in time to save his mother, and the consequences from his actions drastically change the DC universe.
One talented YouTuber known as Alex Luthor decided to put a new spin on not just “Flashpoint” but also the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He put together a video looking at how a “Flashpoint” type event might impact the MCU, and it’s pretty epic to say the least.
In the trailer things are very different. Captain America works for Hydra, and various members of the MCU wear green, apparently as a sign of loyalty to Dr. Doom. It’s an interesting look at a world we’ve all become very familiar with, and you can check it out below.
