“Arrow” season 2 is highly regarded by many fans as one of the show’s best seasons, and much of the praise has to do with Manu Bennett’s excellent performance as Deathstroke. In season 2, Deathstroke acted as the big bad, and he tormented Oliver Queen and his family, but after the season finale he stopped appearing as a series regular.

Slade made an appearance in season 3, but it didn’t do much to satisfy the fans. Luckily he returned to the show in the season 5 finale, and it sounds like we’re going to be seeing a lot more of him in season 6. It’s already been confirmed that he survived the explosion on Lian Yu, and he’s also featured quite a bit in the first trailer for the new season.

Deathstroke will be appearing in the season 6 premiere, and CBR is reporting that Manu Bennett will also be returning for a story that focuses specifically on Deathstroke. According to the report, Bennett will be starring as Deathstroke in a two-part episode which will tell the backstory of everything Slade has been through since the death of Shado.

It’s also being reported that Slade Wilson will be getting a lot of screen time in the first half of “Arrow” season 6.

So, if you’re one of those people that’s been hoping to see more of Slade Wilson on “Arrow” it looks like you’re finally going to get your wish this year.

“Arrow” will return on Thursday, October 12.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice.

As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.
