“Deadpool” doesn’t open until Friday but a sequel for the film has already been given the green light according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers behind “Deadpool” are reportedly already working on the sequel.
The movie is estimated to make between $65 and $70 million in its opening weekend and all signs point to it being a hit. The film has had a great marketing campaign and it’s been met with positive reactions from fans during test screenings. All signs point to this film doing well and Deadpool seems to have a bright future on the big screen.

Anyway, as if news of a “Deadpool” sequel wasn’t cool enough, it’s also expected that a big character will be joining the cast. A few months ago Tim Miller all but confirmed Cable for the sequel.
“There aren’t really many definitive Deadpool villains, apart from Cable. If we don’t put Cable in Deadpool 2 I think we’ll be run out of town on a rail.” Miller told Empire.
Now Cable has been confirmed for the film by Deadpool himself. Deadpool breaks the fourth wall to make the announcement via a post-credits scene which you can check out by clicking here. Deadpool says that sequel will have Cable but that they don’t have any idea who is going to be cast for the role yet. But hey at least we know he’s coming.
