DC TV shows are all the rage right now, as “Black Lightning” just got picked up by the CW, and Superman prequel “Kyrpton” just got picked up by Syfy. Unfortunately thought on DC show is going in the opposite direction as “Powerless” has been cancelled by NBC according to TV Line.

The show starred Vanessa Hudgens who worked as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security. Fans of the show feared for the worst after it was pulled from NBC’s lineup a few weeks ago, and now it seems that the worst has been confirmed.

There are still two episodes left from the first season which have yet to air, one of which includes a cameo from Adam West. It’s unclear what the network plans to do with the remaining episodes.

“Powerless” isn’t the first NBC show to get dropped from NBC after just one season as fans fought to try and get the network to renew “Constantine” in 2015.

“In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.”
