DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” made its triumphant return to TV on Tuesday night with the season 3 premiere titled “Aruba-Con.” After disbanding for a little while the Legends decided to get back together and go back to their old ways and they kicked things off by putting Julius Caesar in his place.

It was great to see the gang back together again, but now it looks like one of the show’s main stars is leaving the series.

Deadline is reporting that Victor Garber, who plays Martin Stein, aka one half of Firestorm on DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” will be leaving the show in season 3. Talk of Garber’s exit reportedly began last spring while the finale was being shot and it intensified over the summer.

Another sign pointing to Garber’s exit is the fact that he’s set to perform in the “Hello! Dolly” revival on Broadway which begins on January 20. Broadway runs typically require actors to commit to a six day work week with a potential 7 to 8 shows a week.

Garber will remain a series regular for the time being, but he’s expected to wrap up his run with DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” during the third season.

It appears that a seed may have been planted for his exit during the finale, as Martin Stein seemed apprehensive to join the team once again citing that he was more interested in living life as a grandfather now that his daughter is pregnant.

DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” airs Tuesday nights on the CW.
