The “Arrowverse” has expanded in a major way over the last few years, and shows like “Arrow,” “The Flash” and DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” have introduced their fair share of memorable characters. But now it appears that one fan favorite character is preparing to make his exit from the “Arrowverse.”

Wentworth Miller joined “The Flash” as Captain Cold/Leonard Snart in season 1, and he remained a regular in the “Arrowverse” until he was killed off in the first season of DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow.” Since then he’s made sporadic appearances in the TV universe, but Wentworth Miller recently confirmed that he’s saying goodbye.
Wentworth Miller took to Instagram to say that he’s filming his final scenes as Captain Cold, and he posted the following message:
“Currently shooting some of my final scenes as “Captain Cold/Leonard Snart” on the CW’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and THE FLASH…
Grateful – now and in advance – to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews… Thank you…
I’ve had a tremendous time playing this character… It’s been an opportunity, and education, and a f-cking blast…
With love and respect. – W.M.”
Captain Cold has been sorely missed since he was killed off and stopped appearing as a series regular on “Legends of Tomorrow” so this news isn’t exactly something fans want to hear.
Here’s to hoping that Leonard Snart goes out with a bang if his run with the “Arrowverse” is truly coming to an end.
