Team Flash will look different when “The Flash” returns for season 4 next month. First of all, Barry Allen will be missing because he’ll still be trapped in the Speed Force, and Julian Albert (Tom Felton) will no longer be part of the show.

With Barry gone Iris is going to step up in a big way, but Danielle Panabaker recently revealed that Barry won’t be the only Team Flash original who will be missing when the show returns. While talking about the new season during a panel at Dragon Con, Panabaker told fans that Caitlin Snow will not be part of the team at the beginning of the season.

“Team Flash is certainly trying to function even without Barry,” Panabaker said via Comics Beat. “Iris has certainly stepped up and taken more of a leadership role. Kid Flash is still out there trying to fill The Flash’s shoes. You’ve got Cisco and Vibe trying to help as well. But Caitlin is not a part of Team Flash at the top of the season.”

In the season 3 finale Caitlin told the members of Team Flash that she’s no longer Killer Frost, but she’s not Caitlin Snow either, then she went off on her own. It appears that she’ll still be working out her identity issues when the show returns.

She also noted that fans of Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost will be satisfied.

“All I can say is: if you like Caitlin Snow, you won’t be disappointed. If you like Killer Frost, you won’t be disappointed.”

“The Flash” season 4 will premiere on Tuesday, October 10.

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) lived a normal life as a perpetually tardy C.S.I. in the Central City Police Department. Barry’s life changed forever when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark-matter lightning storm that struck Barry, bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive — The Flash. But when Barry used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, he inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint; a phenomenon that gave birth to the villainous speed god known as Savitar, and changed the lives of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Wally West (Keiyan Lonsdale) forever.

With the help of his adoptive father, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), his lifelong best friend and love interest Iris West (Candice Patton), and his friends at S.T.A.R. Labs — Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), C.S.I Julian Albert (Tom Felton), and an Earth-19 novelist named H.R. Wells (Tom Cavanaugh) — Barry continues to protect the people of Central City from the meta-humans that threaten it.
