During last night’s NBA All Star pre-game show the stars of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” stopped by to talk about their new movie. Charles Barkley eventually asked Ben Affleck what it’s like to play such an iconic character. Affleck responded by pointing out that his version of Batman isn’t the version we’re used to seeing on screen.
“He’s the Charles Barkley Batman. He’s a little out of step, a little old.” Ben joked. “He’s a little over the hill. He’s broken. He’s kind of given up. When Superman shows up, he’s so powerful that he threatens everything Batman believes in and it leads to this conflict.” Affleck said.
Ben then went on to say that it was a little less intimidating not having to play Batman in his prime. Henry Cavill added that stepping into a role this big isn’t easy because there’s a lot of pressure to get it right for the fans.
