When “The Flash” returned in October, Barry Allen got a major upgrade when Cisco gave him a brand new suit. The suit is a better fit for the more lighthearted Barry Allen we’ve seen this season, but he won’t be wearing it at all in the next episode which is titled “Girls’ Night Out.”
The episode will feature an appearance from Felicity Smoak of “Arrow” fame, and it will also feature Barry and Iris’ respective bachelor and bachelorette parties. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently told TV Line that the ladies will step up and save the city, and Barry won’t be wearing the suit in the episode.
“I think it’s the first episode we’ve ever done where Barry doesn’t wear the suit,” Kreisberg ventures. “We started with the concept of, ‘Wouldn’t it be really funny if Barry goes for the bachelor party with the guys and Candice goes for a bachelorette party with the girls, and the guys end up having the worst night ever and the girls wind up saving the city?’ That was where we started from, and that’s where it ended up.”
Even though we won’t be seeing Barry in the suit, there’s little doubt that the episode will be action packed as Killer Frost is set to return, and we’ll be meeting Katee Sackhoff’s Amunet Black for the first time.
“Girls’ Night Out” will air Tuesday, November 7 on the CW.
