Fans were forced to say goodbye to Laurel Lance in “Arrow” season 4. Laurel and Team Arrow went up against Damien Darhk, and Laurel was murdered at the hands of Darhk when he stabbed her with an arrow.
Oliver then took her to the hospital to try and save her. Before Laurel passed away she made Oliver promise her something, and up until now it’s been a mystery.
In the “Arrow” season 5 premiere titled “Legacy” it was revealed that Laurel made Oliver promise her that she won’t be the last Black Canary. That way a part of her will always be out there with Oliver, and her legacy will live on.
“Arrow” will return next week with “The Recruits.”
“Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow’s training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver’s initiation into the Bratva continues.”
