According To Fox They Would Love To Do More Episode Of The X-Files

“The X-Files” recently returned to TV much to the delight of the show’s fans. The series returned for a 6 episode run that’s set to finish up on February 22. But that might not be the end for “The X-Files” revival.

Fox President David Madden recently spoke to Variety and he sounded very enthusiastic about making more episodes.

“We said before it aired that we would love to do more, and we are over the moon with the performance. So far, the response has been really encouraging.” David Madden said.

Of course nothing is set in stone and more pieces would have to fall into place for that to happen.

“We haven’t talked to the talent yet about Season 2 in any more definitive way than we had prior to airing the show. But certainly, it seems like there’s an audience responding to the show that would love to see more episodes.” Madden added.

The biggest setback here would be trying to get everyone’s schedules to work together. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” a few weeks back and said that they weren’t having much success when trying to figure out a time when both could return to the series.

Will it happen? That remains to be seen. But everyone involved seems to want to make it happen. Now they just need a little luck.

“The X-Files” season finale airs on Fox on Monday, February 22.
