Marvel’s casting department has just scored another win because THR is reporting that Michael B. Jordan has been cast in “Black Panther.” At this time it’s not known who Jordan will be playing in the film, but one source told THR that he could be a villain. Marvel declined to comment.

Michael B. Jordan is no stranger to Marvel properties as he played Johnny Storm in last year’s “Fantastic Four” reboot. That film of course was released by Fox and this will be Jordan’s first appearance in a Marvel Studios film.

“Black Panther” is being directed by Ryan Coogler who Jordan previously worked with on “Creed.” Chadwick Boseman will be reprising his role as T’Challa and it’s rumored that Lupita Nyong’o may be joining the cast as his love interest.

“Black Panther” is set to hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
