It’s certainly not uncommon at all nowadays for actors to make the jump from DC movies to Marvel movies and vice versa.
Ryan Reynolds is a great example of how a switch can be career defining, as his Green Lantern movie wasn’t very well received, but he’s since become synonymous with Deadpool.
“Deadpool 2” is set to hit theaters in just a few weeks, and the final trailer for the movie dropped yesterday.
Deadpool is known for breaking the fourth wall, and in the trailer Cable rips on Deadpool by saying, “You’re no f**king hero. You’re just a clown, dressed up as a sex toy.” To which Deadpool responded with: “So dark. You sure you’re not from the DC Universe?”
When Deadpool wants to make fun of something, nothing is off limits, but DC took it upon themselves to use the Teen Titans GO Twitter account to deliver a clever response in the form of a gif which can be seen below.
Hey @VancityReynolds, caught your new @deadpoolmovie trailer. Never forget – before you became a @Marvel character, you were a part of the @DCComics universe. #TeenTitansGOMovie pic.twitter.com/vmrBms0I8h
