“Avengers: Infinity War” is set to hit theaters in 2018, and in 2019 the yet to be officially titled “Avengers 4” will follow. It’s been teased that some major characters could be killed off in “Infinity War” but it’s been confirmed that at least one character will survive and carry on to appear in the next film.
Sebastian Stan recently spoke to CinemaBlend about his new film “I, Tonya” and he confirmed that he’ll be shooting scenes for “Avengers 4” next month.
“I still haven’t read a script for this next one. For this fourth one. All I know is I’m going down there in October, and that’s all I know. I still actually haven’t read a script for the last one. [laughs] All I knew was what I was involved in, and I was kept on a very ‘need to know’ basis. Maybe that’s the norm. But it’s a family system. There’s a trust, and there’s a sense of knowledge between the writers and the directors, with Kevin [Feige]… that shows up.”
Stan also said that despite the fact that he hasn’t read the script, he’s not worried about what will happen with his character because he has trust in Marvel.
So there you have it folks, Bucky Barnes will survive “Infinity War” but whether or not he’ll survive “Avengers 4” remains to be seen.
“Avengers: Infinity War” will arrive in theaters on May 4, 2018.
“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”
