The “Arrowverse” crossover kicked off on Monday night with “Supergirl” and “Arrow” and it set the shows up for a huge finale on night 2. Overall the crossover is focused on telling the story of Earth-X invading Earth-1, but there are a lot of fun other stories that are taking place along the way.
One of those stories revolves around Sara Lance and Alex Danvers. After meeting at the rehearsal dinner for the West-Allen wedding, Sara and Alex quickly got to drinking, and after a few too many shots of scotch they started making out.
One thing led to another and the next morning we saw a shot of Alex in bed with Sara’s arm around her. Alex quickly realized that she had just been part of a one night stand, so she tried to make a clean break, but she fell out of the bed and slammed butt first into the floor while Sara pretended to sleep.
Sara Lance and Alex later met up at the wedding, and Alex tried to act like she wasn’t familiar with Sara so that Kara didn’t become suspicious, but the always impeccable Ms. Lance broke the ice by asking, “How’s your butt?”
Alex’s awkward reaction was one of the funnier moments from the episode, and it turns out that the line came straight from the mind of Caity Lotz.
Director Larry Teng took to Twitter after the episode to give Caity props for improvising.

Tonight both Alex and Sara will return in “The Flash” and then Captain Lance will get her chance to take the lead when DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” acts as the final episode of the crossover.
So, hopefully we’ll be getting a few more well timed jokes courtesy of Caity Lotz.
