We all know that Barry Allen and Iris West will end up together at some point on “The Flash” but it appears that there’s no rush to make it happen. All those #Biris shippers out there (Is that a thing?) are just going to have to wait because a new character is cutting in when season 2 rolls around.
TV Line is reporting that the CW is looking to cast a love interest for Barry Allen named Wendy. Wendy is described as “spunky, fun and funny” and the casting call reportedly says “Think Felicity Smoak from Arrow.” She will be working for the Central City PD as well meaning her and Barry will be co-workers.
#Olicity shippers are probably pumped by this while #Olicity haters are undoubtedly rolling their eyes. Felicity Smoak was one of those characters that fans gravitated to naturally so it’s tough to say if it will work again.
Either way we’ll find out when season 2 of “The Flash” premieres in the fall. That is of Barry can save the world from that black hole.
