Ben Affleck is hard at work filming “Justice League” and he revealed the first footage of Deathstroke a few weeks ago. Ever since then fans have been trying to figure out if we’ll be seeing Slade Wilson in “Justice League.”

“Justice League” is being directed by Zack Snyder, and Snyder recently teased fans with a little behind the scenes photo. The photo shows Snyder working on a storyboard while wearing some Batman gear.

At first glance there’s nothing all that suspicious about the photo, but some fans on the internet dug a little deeper and noticed that Deathstroke appears on the storyboard. Looking even closer you can see that Deathstroke appears to be meeting with someone who looks a lot like Lex Luthor.

Of course Ben Affleck’s Batman solo film is in development and Zack Snyder is working on the film as an executive producer, so, it’s always possible that he could be lending Ben a helping hand. However, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that his tweet includes the hashtag #JusticeLeague.

“I just don’t think it was a good fit. I’m very strict with this universe and I just don’t see a version where…that (tone is) not our world.” Snyder said.

It’s not really hard to see where he’s coming from. “Batman V Superman” looks like it’s going to be much darker in tone when compared to “The Flash” TV series. Snyder added that DC has made a commitment to the multi-verse so Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen exists in a different universe than Ezra Miller’s.

DC has already played with the multiverse a little bit by sending Team Flash to Earth-2. Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen is also set to cross over into an alternate universe next week when he appears on “Supergirl.” As of right now DC hasn’t announced any plans to have their film and television universes crossover, but with the multiverse in play it’s not entirely out of the question for it to happen down the road.

“Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters on March 25, 2016.

Synder recently defended his version of a cinematic Superman and said that comic book fans should know that he didn’t change Superman.

“People are always like, ‘You changed Superman’. If you’re a comic book fan, you know that I didn’t change Superman. If you know the true canon, you know that I didn’t change Superman. If you’re a fan of the old movies, yeah I changed him a bit. That’s the difference. I’m a bit of a comic book fan and I always default to the true canon. Not the cinematic canon that sort of, that in my opinion, plays fast and loose with the rules. And so, I feel like I tried to create a Superman that would set a tone for the world.” Zack Snyder said on the Hall of Justice podcast.
