It was reported back in August that Jason Momoa was in talks to play Eric Draven. Momoa met with director Corin Hardy and shared a photo of himself drinking beer with him and posted a caption saying, “The only way to officially seal the deal as men Is a pint of black beauty.”

Momoa is currently busy filming “Justice League” so it looks like he could potentially have a busy few months ahead of him.

“The Crow” will focus on the story of Eric Draven which was told in the 1991 film adaptation of James O’Barr’s comic. The film starred Brandon Lee and Alex Proyas. The reboot is said to be a closer adaptation of the source material.

Relativity filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2015, and the company emerged from bankruptcy earlier this year. The studio is reportedly making “The Crow” a priority in hopes that it will be able to get the company back on track and improve their overall image in Hollywood.

The film has been trying to get off the ground, but it can’t seem to keep a lead actor. Luke Evans was originally cast in the lead role before he dropped out of the movie, and then Jack Huston took over, but he dropped out as well.

Luckily it looks like the search for the next Eric Draven could be coming to an end soon. Multiple sources have informed Mashable that Jason Momoa is currently in talks to play Eric Draven in the reboot.

Momoa is currently busy playing the role of Aquaman in “Justice League” and Aquaman will be getting his own solo film in 2018. The report mentions that the two sides have found a way to work around Momoa’s schedule, despite the fact that Momoa is busy playing the DC character at the moment.

Jason Momoa added fuel to the fire when he posted a picture of himself with Corin Hardy who has been attached the reboot as the director. Momoa posted the picture with the following caption:
