“Captain America: Civil War” changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a big way. Following the events that took place in the film, The Avengers are divided, for now anyway.

At the end of the movie Iron Man and Captain America battled it out, and it was Cap who came out on top. However, Tony Stark then told Steve Rogers that the Captain America shield didn’t belong to him, so Rogers dropped it and walked away. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo later confirmed in an interview that the scene was meant to show Rogers letting go of the Captain America mantle.

“I think him dropping that shield is him letting go of that identity,” said Joe. “[It’s] him admitting that certainly the identity of Captain America was in conflict with the very personal choice that he was making.”

Fans have wondered about the status of the Captain America mantle, and if we may see a new version of Captain America in “Infinity War.” Anything is possible for the Captain America mantle at this point, but it sounds like fans will be introduced to a very different Steve Rogers in the film.

MCU Exchange is reporting that Steve Rogers will take up the mantle of Nomad in “Avengers: Infinity War.” Rogers became Nomad for a short run in the comics after being disillusioned with the state of America once he found out that the country was being run by Secret Empire.

In the comics Steve Rogers wore a black and yellow outfit with a cape, but the report notes that the exact outfit won’t be recreated in the film, but the outfit that’s used will pay homage to the original.

Fans who were in attendance at D23 reported that the “Avengers: Infinity War” footage that was shown at the event featured a bearded Steve Rogers.

It’s not known at this point whether Rogers will ever pick up the Captain America mantle again in the MCU, so we’ll just have to wait and see what the Russos have in store.

“Avengers: Infinity War” opens everywhere on May 4, 2018.

“Avengers: Infinity War” is set to hit theaters next year, and the film is a very hot topic right now, as it’s currently in production, and the cast and crew have been answering quite a few questions about the film as of late.

When Marvel first announced “Infinity War” the original plan was to film two movies back to back then split them into two different parts. However, things change, and that’s what happened here.

It was announced a while back that “Avengers 4” would no longer be titled “Infinity War: Part 2” which left us all to wonder what it would be called. After Marvel changed their plans, Kevin Feige simply said that they are two very different movies, and when CinemaBlend recently asked him if the title of the movie is a spoiler, he responded by saying, “Yeah, for sure.”

Well it looks like everything is starting to fall into place now, as Zoe Saldana may have accidentally revealed the title of the film, which may reveal the reason why they are “two very different films.”

During a recent interview Zoe Saldana talked about shooting the two films and after referencing “Infinity War” she said that everyone has to go back to film “Gauntlet” later this year.

If Zoe Saldana is referring to the second film as “Gauntlet” at this point, that seems to be a pretty good indication that the film will be titled “Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet.”

Avengers 4 title – Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet says @ZoeSaldana at GOTG2 event. At wknd Marvel said title was still secret #InfinityGauntlet pic.twitter.com/LFg3u7FmDk

— lizo mzimba (@lizo_mzimba) April 24, 2017

If “Infinity Gauntlet” is indeed the title, it seemingly gives fans a giant hint as to what we can expect from the next two Avengers films. It would seem at this point that “Infinity War” will see the Avengers try to prevent Thanos from collecting the infinity stones, and if the fourth film does end up being titled “Infinity Gauntlet” it’s likely that Thanos will have successfully completed his goal by assembling the Infinity Gauntlet.

That would explain why the movies would be “very different” as the Marvel universe became a very different place once Thanos assembled the Infinity Gauntlet in the comics.

However, this is a far from a confirmation in regards to the title, so we’ll just have to see what Marvel has in store.

The films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been huge hits at the box office, and Marvel’s TV shows have also been doing quite well on Netflix. Marvel has been telling fans from the very beginning that when it comes to their live action universe “it’s all connected” but sometimes it doesn’t feel that way.

The Marvel Netflix shows have been going strong for a while now, but we have yet to see characters like Daredevil, Jessica Jones or Luke Cage appear in the film world. Actor Anthony Mackie who plays Falcon in the MCU recently spoke during a panel at Wizard World in Cleveland, and he doesn’t think a crossover would work (via ScreenGeek).

“Different universes, different worlds, different companies, different designs. Kevin Feige is very specific about how he wants the Marvel Universe to be seen in the film world. It wouldn’t work. It wouldn’t work at all.”

It’s hard to deny that the film and TV universes are drastically different when it comes to tone. The shows on Netflix are dark, violent and gritty, whereas the films are usually made to be all ages appropriate. Still, there are quite a few fans out there who would love to see characters like Daredevil interact with The Avengers.

Will it happen? Hopefully. But it doesn’t sound like it’s going to happen anytime soon.

It was recently announced at the Television Critics Association press tour that “Supergirl” and “The Flash” will be crossing over for a pair of musical episodes.

Stars like Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin were formerly cast members of the musical show “Glee” so there’s no denying that the cast members have the chops to pull this off.

However, in order to get it right the musical crossovers are going to need the perfect director at the helm, and according to That Hashtag Show the crossovers will be directed by none other than Joss Whedon.

Joss Whedon knocked it out of the park with “The Avengers” in 2012 and he’s also no stranger to musicals.

Over the years Whedon has received a lot of praise for the musical episode of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” titled “Once More With Feeling.” He also directed an episode of “Glee” in the past.

According to the report the villain of the crossover episodes will be Music Meister, a character who was created for the musical episode of “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” and was voiced by Neil Patrick Harris.

That Hashtag Show’s sources are adamant that Whedon is in, but the CW has not confirmed the news so it should be treated as a rumor for now.

Would you like to see Joss Whedon direct an episode of “The Flash” and “Supergirl” sound off in the comments below.

“Captain America: Civil War” is set to hit theaters next month and directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been very busy doing the media rounds to promote the film. After “Civil War” the next big event film for Marvel Studios will be “Avengers: Infinity War” which will be split into two different movies. The two films will be shooting back to back, but director Anthony Russo was quick to point out that they are two different movies.

“The movies are very very different from one another,” Anthony Russo told i09. “It’s not a part one and part two scenario, necessarily. They’re just two different expressions. I think it creates a misconception that we’re shooting them at the same time.”

The Russos also noted that “Infinity War” will have three times as many characters as “Civil War.” The film will be a culmination of everything that’s happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up to this point, but there are still some pieces of the puzzle that have yet to fall into place.

Screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely said that they started working on the film before “Civil War” was completed, and they started with 60 ideas that ranged from insane to even more insane. It’s been a long road to get to “Infinity War,” but as Kevin Feige pointed out to i09, much of the foundation from the film is already in place.

“Much of the groundwork has already been laid,” he said. “That’s the truth. Doctor Strange will lay some more. Thor: Ragnarok will lay some more—but I think the majority of it is already there.”

“Captain America: Civil War” is set to reshape the MCU in a major way as the tension between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers finally comes to a head. It’s also rumored that the MCU could be losing more than one character in the film, so we could potentially be seeing a very different team when The Avengers assemble for “Infinity War: Part 1.”

“Infinity War: Part 1” hits theaters on May 4th, 2018 and “Infinity War: Part 2” will be released a year later on May 3rd, 2019.

It looks like the apocalypse could be coming any time now because humanoid robots are becoming more and more advanced every day. A 42 year old inventor named Ricky Ma has built a robot that bares a striking resemblance to Scarlett Johansson and it’s got a lot of people talking. The robot is very lifelike, almost too lifelike at times.

About 70% of the robot was created using 3D printing technology and it cost $50,000 to build. So what exactly compelled Ricky to build this robot that will surely lead to the destruction of mankind one day? According to him he just really likes robots.

“When I was a child, I liked robots. Why? Because I liked watching animation. All children loved it. There were Transformers, cartoons about robots fighting each other and games about robots. After I grew up, I wanted to make one. But during this process, a lot of people would say things like, ‘Are you stupid? This takes a lot of money. Do you even know how to do it? It’s really hard’.” Ricky told The Mirror.

The robot can talk and it has very real facial expressions. The Scarlett Johansson lookalike even responds to compliments. You can check out some footage of the robot in action below.
