“Deadpool 2” is all the rage right now because fans have been waiting a long time for the film to move forward and now it seems like it’s finally happening. After months of rumors and speculation, it was recently announced that Josh Brolin will be playing Cable in the film, and it looks like Brolin is diving into the role head first.

Related: Josh Brolin Shares Behind The Scenes Photos As He Prepares To Become Cable

Cable has been confirmed for the film, Domino has been confirmed for the film, and both Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead have also been confirmed for the sequel. Now yet another character has been confirmed for the movie as Blackfilm.com is reporting that Leslie Uggams will be reprising her role as Blind Al.

Blind Al was Deadpool’s roommate in the first film and she was without a doubt one of the funniest characters in the movie. Ryan Reynolds and Leslie Uggams obviously have great chemistry together, so it will be fun to see them interact once again in “Deadpool 2.”

Production on the film is expected to start sometime over the next few months, and although no official release date has been announced for “Deadpool 2” the film is expected to arrive in theaters next year.

However, “Logan” director James Mangold took to Twitter shortly after the report surfaced, and he’s claiming that the report is not true.

James Mangold continued to call The Wrap’s report “fake news” and he insisted that Deadpool is not a part of the film.

Ryan Reynolds himself and Hugh Jackman also took to Twitter to say that the report is untrue.

Although it would be cool to see Deadpool make some sort of appearance in “Logan,”
everyone involved is adamantly denying that Deadpool is in the film, which is unfortunate news for Deadpool fans. But the reporter who broke the story seems to be standing by his scoop, so we’ll just have to wait and see exactly how this unfolds.

Either way we still get to see Hugh Jackman light up the big screen as Wolverine one more time, and if the trailer is any indication, the movie will be one to remember.

“Logan” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman seem to be on separate paths within the X-Men film universe. Deadpool’s star is on the rise, but unfortunately Hugh Jackman’s career as Wolverine is winding down. Following the success of “Deadpool” fans were hopeful that Fox might take another shot at getting Wolverine and Deadpool together on screen, and hopefully make us all forget about “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

Unfortunately it looks unlikely to happen, as Hugh Jackman has already declared that “Logan” will be his last run as Wolverine. However, that hasn’t stopped Ryan Reynolds from hoping that he can talk Jackman into playing Wolverine one more time.

“I want Deapdool and Wolverine in a movie together,” Reynolds told EW. “What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I’m going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.”

If you follow Ryan Reynolds on social media, then you’re probably well aware that he’s quite fond of Hugh Jackman. He also told EW that he’s not just interested in doing the movie because he wants the characters together on the big screen, he also just wants to do it because he genuinely loves Hugh Jackman.

“Deadpool 2” is currently in development, and FOX is already planning for “Deadpool 3” which will reportedly include X-Force.

A New Mutants movie is in development, and it’s also been rumored that FOX is looking to reboot their main X-Men franchise somehow. As for how Wolverine fits into those plans, and/or who might be playing the character after Hugh Jackman retires, that remains to be seen.

It’s been a big year for Ryan Reynolds. “Deadpool” was finally released, and the movie was a big hit that made tons and tons of cash at the box office. Ryan Reynolds was also recently named GQ’s Man of the Year, and he sat down for a special interview to discuss his Man of the Year status.

For this interview Ryan Reynolds didn’t talk to just anybody, he talked to his twin brother, Gordon Reynolds, and Gordon burned Ryan right to the ground. Ryan sits down for what he seems to assume will be just a normal interview, but that’s not the case.

If you think Ryan Reynolds can be brutal with his jokes, just wait until you meet Gordon. Check it out below.

As of this writing “Deadpool 2” is still looking for a director. Perhaps Gordon Reynolds could be the right man for the job.

“Deadpool” hit theaters earlier this year and the film was a huge success. It raked in a ton of cash at the box office, and the film is beloved by just about everyone who has seen it. “Deadpool 2” will be hitting the big screen at some point in the next few years, but director Tim Miller will not be part of the project. It was announced a few weeks ago that Miller had left the project due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds.

The search for a new director is ongoing, and “John Wick” director David Leitch seems to be the favorite. The combination of Reynolds and Miller made “Deadpool” a big hit, and Reynolds recently told GQ that he was sad to see Miller go.

“All I can really add is that I’m sad to see him off the film. Tim’s brilliant and nobody worked harder on Deadpool than he did.”

Ryan Reynolds also opened up about what went wrong with the character in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” a movie that was panned by just about everyone who saw it. During the interview Reynolds noted that he wrote all of Deadpool’s dialogue for the movie.

Related: Fox Already Planning For Deadpool 3, X-Force Reportedly Set To A Part Of The Film

“It was during a writers’ strike, so all my dialogue in X-Men Origins: Wolverine I wrote. I mean, in the stage directions it just said, “Deadpool shows up, talks really fast, and makes a lot of jokes.” At the beginning of that movie, that’s pretty close to Deadpool’s Wade Wilson—we’re in the ballpark with that guy. But it completely departed all canon and reason and he wound up being this abomination of Deadpool that was like Barakapool, with his mouth sewn shut and weird blades that came out of his hands and these strange tattoos and stuff like that. If you watch the movie, I’m actually playing only a small section, and another actor, this gifted stunt performer, is doing the lion’s share of that work. The conversation at the time was “If you want to play Deadpool, this is your chance to introduce him. And if you don’t want to introduce him in this fashion, we’ll have someone else play him.”

“Deadpool 2” is expected to hit theaters in 2018.

Fans recently created a petition for Deadpool, not Ryan Reynolds but Deadpool to host Saturday Night Live. But it’s not going to happen. As a response to the petition, Deadpool created a video explaining that he was supposed to host the show but something went wrong. He had a falling out with the people in charge and it led to a meltdown of epic proportions.

In the clip Deadpool mimics Kanye West’s recent SNL related meltdown but he outdoes Kanye in every way possible. Kanye West might think he’s 50% more influential than Stanley Kubrick, Pablo Picasso, Escobar and Apostle Paul, but Deadpool’s got him beat. Deadpool declares that he’s 50% more influential than Barbara Bush, the Kia Sorrento and shredded cheese. Take that Kanye West.

Check it out in the video clip below.

Speaking of “Deadpool” the film is expected to take the number 1 spot at the box office again this weekend. The film is set to cross the $200 million mark domestically on Saturday and it’s estimated that it will pull in $55 million dollars over the course of the entire weekend.

“Deadpool” recently broke the record for the highest grossing opening weekend ever for an R rated film. A sequel has already been greenlit and next time around Cable will be joining the cast.

Ryan Reynolds seems absolutely thrilled to have found his place in the cinematic super hero landscape. He’s a perfect fit for Deadpool and seems to have a genuine love for the X-Men universe. Reynolds recently spoke to FILMSTARTS and he revealed that he’s got a lot of interest when it comes to exploring X-Force on the big screen.

“There’s so much material to mine in just the X-Men universe. In the future, if we’re doing a bunch more ‘Deadpool’ movies, we’re really going to explore the X-Men a lot. We’ll see. And maybe X-Force, X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in.” Reynolds said.

Although Deadpool does exist in the same universe as the X-Men movies, Ryan Reynolds has said that Deadpool is still very much its own thing. When asked about how the “Days of Future Past” timeline might affect Deadpool’s movie, Reynolds said that Deadpool is not affected.

“If it were Deadpool, he could tell ‘Days of Future Past’ to take its timeline and go f*ck itself. We make fun of the timelines in the movie. But Deadpool is not affected by that at all. Deadpool, I think, is just his own thing. His own universe. Anytime the other X-Men interact with Deadpool and his universe, they do so at their own risk and peril.” Reynolds added.

“Deadpool” hits theaters on February 12, 2016.

Ryan Reynolds has had his fair share of experience when it comes to super hero movies. He’s appeared in “Blade: Trinity” as Hannibal King, he played a weird version of Deadpool that we’d all like to forget in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and he played the title character in DC’s “Green Lantern” film. Now finally he’s doing Deadpool the right way and Reynolds feels more comfortable than ever.

IGN recently caught up with Ryan Reynolds to talk about the release of “Deadpool” next week and they asked him about his super hero past and future. Reynolds was asked if he would ever be interested in reprising his role as Hal Jordan for another go as a Green Lantern, but Reynolds made it clear that he’s really all set.

“I never want to play another comic book character again; Deadpool, I would like to play for the rest of my life – that’d be fun. No, I’ve done a number of them, and I think it’s time for other people to do them now. You’ve got to share the wealth on that one.” Reynolds said.

If this film is successful, and there’s a pretty good chance it will be, Reynolds likely won’t have to play another super hero ever again. Super hero movies are all the rage right now and everyone is hyped for Deadpool. Everyone also unanimously agrees that Ryan Reynolds was the right choice to bring the character to life on the big screen.

With all of those things in mind it’s not hard to imagine Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool for many years to come. If this thing does well at the box office Fox is going to be more than willing to throw money at sequels and spin offs. Which means if you buy a ticket to “Deadpool” next week you’re bringing us all one step closer to seeing Deadpool team up with the bloodless ghost of Benjamin Franklin on the big screen.

Something Ryan Reynolds has totally said he’s down for.

Deadpool is a pretty ridiculous character and he’s done some pretty ridiculous things over the years. Ryan Reynolds seems to have nailed the character’s personality and at times it’s hard to figure out where Reynolds ends and Deadpool begins.

Still, Deadpool has crossed quite a few lines over the years and IGN wanted to know just how far Ryan Reynolds would be willing to go to stay true to the character. They presented some scenarios from the comics and asked Reynolds if he would be willing to recreate them on screen.

When asked if he would want to recreate a scene where Deadpool takes out a wheelchair bound FDR and Richard Nixon, Reynolds responds by saying

“Absolutely not. No, that sounds like a logistic, historical nightmare.”

He also wasn’t keen on the idea of setting fire to an elephant, but he did say he was down to dress up as Marilyn Monroe. When asked if he would like to have the ghost of Benjamin Franklin as a sidekick, he says that he would like to have the bloodless ghost of Benjamin Franklin as his sidekick.

See folks, every man has their limits. The bloodless ghost of Benjamin Franklin as a sidekick is ok, but once you add blood into the mix, you’ve gone too far. You can hear Reynolds give his thoughts on several other scenarios and whether or not he would want to put them in a Deadpool film via the clip above.
